The Kalinago NEP Workers were made to work hard in front a vociferous crowd on Saturday as they came from behind to claim a spot in the final of DAVA Business League.

In an exciting encounter at 12th Street Canefield, the Kalinago NEP Workers took on the law officers, Lock Dem Up.

The law makers were on the back foot early with the NEP team leading 9-2 in set one, however, the law makers rallied back in grand style to even the scores and take control of proceedings. Set one ending 25-21.

In set two, the fans witnessed a completely different Kalinago team. They dominated the set with clever plays, tight defense and some brilliant spiking, ending the set 25-10 and forcing a third set.

At the end of the night the Kalinago NEP Workers claimed the third set 25-17 to advance to the finals.

The finals scores in the match; 25-21, 10-25, 17-25 in favor of the NEP Workers.

Len Samuel, Coach of the Kalinago NEP Workers said “the guys did a really good job for us. In the first set we were leading and we gave away the set. We were leading by about nine points and the other team came back.”

“But we came back, we stayed focus and we won the game,” he said.
