WE United are enjoying life in the DFA Premier League.
Since their defeat on the opening day at the hands of defending champions, Sagicor South East, WE United have gone from strength to strength, winning three matches and drawing one – a total of 10 points.
“The first game we were not really ourselves. We had a few injuries,” United’s Coach, Kenny Jno Charles said.
“I would say this is an improved WE United,” he said.
“The guys have the raw talent, is just a matter of nurturing, getting them to feel comfortable where they have to be playing and how they have to be playing.”
He added, “We stepped up our on-field training. We added a few more training staff and just a few more players and that’s it.”
Jno Charles says a lot more can be expected from his team as the season progresses.
“Definitely you expect to see much bigger things from WE United in terms of results on the field,” he said.
WE United can also thank their top goal scorer, Michael Gasper.
Gasper leads the PL goal scoring chart with seven (7) goals. Coach Jno Charles says “He [Gasper] had committed to improving on the things he had done in the last season…the more games Michael plays is the better he’s going to become.”
“He’s the type of striker any club needs and wants,” Jno Charles added.
