The Saint Mary’s Primary U-13 and the St. Luke’s Primary U-13 are through to the finals of the Sports Division National Bank of Dominica Primary Schools boys 13 & under football championship.
In the first semi final game the St. Mary’s primary won over the Massacre Primary School in sudden death penalty kicks.
The scores were tied at 2 goals apiece at the end of regulation, extra time and normal penalty kicks.
St Mary’s Primary eventually won the match on sudden death penalty kicks after converting and Massacre went wide.
Chance Marshall and Creigan Dublin scored for the Massacre Primary School and Malakai Bonney and Josimar Gustave scored for the St. Mary’s Primary.
In the second semi finals the St. Luke’s Primary school defeated the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School 4 goals to 3 in a very exciting match. St Luke’s Primary was up two goals to nil at the end of the first half with goals from DeAndre Lawrence and Dale Xavier.
However in the second half the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School came roaring back to score three unanswered goals Jaydian Hamilton got two and Jeriah Lewis one to go up 3 goals to 2.
DeAndre Lawrence then took over the game for the St. Luke’s Primary School when he hammered in a free kick to tie the game at 3 all, and soon afterwards converted from the penalty spot with less than a minute of play left to record his hat trick and St. Luke’s 4 to 3 goals victory for into the finals.
The finals will be played between the St. Mary’s Primary and the St. Luke’s Primary on Friday 12 April at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
