One of the most feared strikers here in Dominica, Randolph Peltier, makes his return to the national football team following an injury.
The striker forms part of a 21-man squad to travel to St. Lucia on Friday (October 4th) where the national team will be engaged in two friendly matches as they prepare to face Nicaragua in the Nations Cup on the 11th of October, 2019.
The striker told Positive Media “It feels good to be back on the team.”
“I feel confident and looking forward to playing in those two friendly games on the weekend against St. Lucia,” he said.
“Like I said, I’m very confident going into the two friendly games. Training has been going good, fitness is back and also my sharpness in front of goal,” he mentioned.
Peltier definitely demonstrated his sharpness on the past weekend where he scored twice as the Petro Caribe Pointe Michel earned a 3-3 draw with Mahaut Soca Strikers — Petro Caribe Pointe Michel eventually won on penalty kicks 4-3.
The striker also has a number of goals to his name in the ongoing Denise Charles Pointe Michel Football League, including 5 goals in a single match.
