Dominica will play host to Suriname on Thursday September 5th, 2019, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in the CONCACAF Nations League.
The two teams met back in 2018 with that match ending in a 0-0 draw.
Dominica are currently seating 14th with 7 points on the 34-team table while Suriname are 12th with 7 points. Coach of the Dominica Team, Rajesh Latchoo says his boys have been working hard and looks forward to seeing the team perform against Suriname.
“The players have worked hard building up into the preparation for this game coming up on Thursday,” he said.
He added, “I’m very excited to see them play. We had setbacks and some challenges along the way as usual, but I”m not going to focus on these setbacks and challenges because these players have shown me they are bigger than these setbacks, bigger than these challenges. They are not ordinary players, they are extraordinary players and I look forward to seeing them play.”
The Dominica team is currently nursing a few injuries but Latchoo believes it gives opportunities for other players.
“We have couple injuries, but it gives just gives opportunities of other players to step up and I’m excited to see them do so in the upcoming game against Suriname.
Game time will be 3:00PM on Thursday afternoon.
