Chad Bertrand scores twice as Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC are through to the semi-finals of the DFA Nation Knockout Cup.

They defeated Exodus FC 4-1 on Saturday, in the first match of a double header at the Windsor Park stadium.

Dublanc FC were in a no nonsense mood on the day as they eased to a comfortable 2-0 advantage at the half time interval. They returned in the second half with the same attitude and score two more, one of which included former Exodus full back, Ajaya Royer.

The other goal scorers are Chad Bertrand with a brace for Dublanc, and Shikel St. Marie getting one. Ashwan Hill got the lone goal for Exodus.

Captain of Dublanc FC, Chad Bertrand says “I’m trying to put my best foot forward in the Nations Cup.” He added, “We played okay but there’s still room for improvement in certain areas…we need to improve on our passing and our covering because if we meet stronger opponents I think we’ll get punished so we need to buck up on that.”

Meanwhile, Coach of Exodus FC, Ernest St. Jean says this is not the result he anticipated. “We came into the game with some sought of expectation and to put up a fight…at the end of the we are disappointed that we lost but we are happy that we’re here to give the effort.”
