Shikel St. Marie registered a hat-trick on the weekend to lead defending champions CCCU Dublanc FC to a resounding 8-0 win over Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth.

Ludwig Bertrand (2), Savio Anselm (1), McConnie Royer (1) and Jamie Deluge (1) were the other goal scorers for Dublanc FC.

National defender and captain of the CCCU Dublanc FC, Euclid Bertrand says “we’re practicing a lot and we put in our attacking plays in shape and we’ve been getting them all week so we come and we executed well today.”

Asked whether he feels confident that Dublanc FC can win the championship the player said “we have our plan and we’re going to stick to our plan.”

“We are going to try and stick to the things we doing in our practice, we working on them and then we going and see if we can execute that plan because we taking it a game at a time, we are not going to take it easy because we don’t know how the other teams are going to play, is good teams, so we are going to do our best to be ready for the teams,” Bertrand said.

According to the point standings from the Dominica Football Association, CCCU Dublanc FC are on 36 points after 16 games on top of the table with Petro Caribe Pointe Michel in fifth place with 25 points.
