Adriel Lawrence and Yhan Timothy scored a goal each in the first Group J match on Wednesday morning to guide Dominica to a 2-1 win over St. Martin in the CONCACAF U15 Boys Championship.
Dominica coming off an emphatic 3-1 victory over Turks & Caicos Islands on Tuesday, made it two-in-two with goals in the 6th and 20th minute of play.
St. Martin pulled one back in the second half, thanks to a goalkeeping error by Dominica’s goalkeeper after a long-range effort on goal.
St. Martin piled on the pressure after their goal, but Dominica U15 Boys hung on and won the match 2-1.
The win pushes Dominica to 7 points but in second position as the British Virgin Islands defeated the Turks and Caicos Islands 2-0 in the second Group J match on the day.
The British Virgin Islands are top with 7 points on a better goal difference (+4) with 7 goals for and 3 against, while Dominica has a goal difference of (+3) with 8 goals for and 5 goals against.
Montserrat remains 3rd with 4 points from 3 games, Turks & Caicos 4th with 3 points, and St. Martin bottom of the table with 1 point.
The Dominica U15 Boys will play their final qualifying game against Montserrat on Thursday at 11AM.
