After one win and on defeat in the Winlott Inc./WICBC Under-19 Cricket Tournament, Sam Kirnon, Coach of the Dominica Under-19 team feels confident the Dominica team will make it through to the finals with victory over St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday.

The Winlott Inc./WICBC Under-19 Cricket Tournament is currently being held here in Dominica.

The Dominica team won their first match by 5 wickets over St. Lucia on Saturday after restricting the St. Lucian Under-19 team to 119 all out. Savio Anselm bagged 7/30 in 9.5 overs and Lincoln Abe Durand 3/27 in 8 overs including a first-ball wicket.

Dominica replied with 124/5 to win by 5 wickets.

However, on Sunday, Dominica looking for 2-in-2, went down to Grenada by 51 runs after choosing to field first.

Coach Sam Kirnon says there are positives that can be taken from the two games played thus far and added in for the game against SVG at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Dominica Under-19 Captain Tahj Tavernier plans to bounce back with victory over St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines team lost both their opening games to Grenada and St. Lucia respectively.
