Jahseon Alexander is back!
Following an accident on February 10th, 2019, that left the young Dominican cricketer out for an extended period, he finally returned to the field on Friday January 24th, 2020.
“The recovery was not soft at all, I mean I went through a lot,” he said. “But first of all I want to give the credit to the almighty father for spearing me with life.”
He added, “I just want to thank everybody that was there for me ensuring that recovery was the best.”
Alexander who received extensive injuries to his leg returned for the Dominica State College against the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School in a ball-o-rama competition at the Botanic Gardens where scored a duck.
“It was not the best start to kick off the under-20 tournament but going forward you will see brighter things from me,” he said.
The young cricketer also says that preparation has been going well to ensure his smooth return to the field of cricket. “I trained every Saturday down in Portsmouth with my personal coach, Sam Kirnon, so basically it has been going well,” Alexander noted.
Jahseon will lead his Dominica State College team out to battle on Tuesday against the Portsmouth Secondary School at the Benjamin’s Park to signal the start of the zonal stage of the 2020 Massy United Insurance Secondary School U20 Cricket Championship.
