Virat Kohli played a captain’s knock while Rishabh Pant returned to form with unbeaten 65 as India registered a 7-wicket win against the West Indies in the third and final Twenty20 International at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Tuesday.
With the win, India also completed a 3-0 clean sweep against the Carlos Brathwaite-led side in the T20I leg of the tour.
Chasing a competitive 147-run target, India lost the new opening pair of Shikar Dhawan (3) and KL Rahul (20) early.
Kohli and Pant then stitched a terrific 106-run partnership as they took away the game from the hosts.
Oshane Thomas removed Kohli in the 18th over but by then India was in total control of the run-chase.
Pant and Manish Pandey then completed the formalities as India won the match in the final over.
Earlier on, Kieron Pollard topped scored for the Windies with 58 and Rovman Powell added 32, Deepak Chahar took 3 wickets for 4 runs in 3 overs and Navdeep Saini 2/34 in 4 overs.
India winning the T20 Series 3-0.
