The Ruben’s Bakery Christians won their second game of the Nanthan Insurance Agency Intermediate Cricket League on the weekend winning by 9 wickets over Castle Bruce Invaders.

In a rain-affected encounter at the Botanic Gardens, and the match reduced to 25 overs per team after a late start, Castle Bruce Invaders won the toss and elected batting first.

Invaders had a bright start to the game, reaching scores of 50 for the loss of one wicket. But that all changed after a flurry of wickets and the Ruben’s Bakery Christians were back in charge of the game.

Castle Bruce Invaders were eventually bundled out for 99 (Markie George – 28, Rodney Buckmire – 12).

Bowling for Christians:

Alyan Christopher – 4/11 (4 Overs), Cuthbert Maronie – 3/15 (4 Overs), Devon Desbonnes – 2/26 (5 Overs), Michael Antoine – 1/27.
